Reclaimed Scaffold Boards

Reclaimed scaffold boards are old wooden planks no longer used on scaffolds. They will vary in look due to wear and tear, whilst some will be more worn than others; they may also have slight notches, paint, splits or cement on them, but 95% are in good condition. They have a standard width of 225mm and 36-38mm thickness, but you should give or take a few millimetres due to their age and moisture retention. These timber boards can be used for building DIY garden furniture, picnic tables, raised beds, planters, decking, fencing, gates and cladding or for indoors; they can be made into dining room tabletops, kitchen worktops, shelving, bedframes, bookcases, featured walls and flooring with the options being pretty endless.

Our reclaimed scaffold boards are made from European Whitewood timber, and when aged, they are still strong and durable and can last up to 10 years when treated. They are the perfect type of wood for DIY projects, as they come unsanded, untreated and have removable metal ends. The main difference between reclaimed boards and new ones is that the used ones offer extra character and a rustic look, whereas new boards are perfect in look and feel.
